Ruth Carman Scholarship

Description:  The recipeint shall be an Eastern Illinois University student majoring in foreign languages. The recipient shall be a junior or senior student, as defined in the University catalog, after the close of the academic term in which the award selection is made. The recipient should be an outstanding student who has demonstrated academic excellence, a keen interest in perfecting the spoken and written use of the language, an enthusiasm for the propagation of the culture represented by the language, and qualities of personality and character which give evidence of promise in making a contribution to the field of foreign language.
