William Gene and Brigitte Johanna Brown Scholarship
Description: The recipient(s) must be a full-time student, accepted to Eastern Illinois University. The recipient must be a declared major in either Engineering or Foreign Languages. The scholarship will be awarded to a Engineering student in even-numbered fiscal years and to a Foreign Language student in odd-numbered fiscal years. Engineering Students requirements: 1. Must be a declared Engineering student with at least one year of study remaining at Eastern Illinois University. 2. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, as well as a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale in related technical classwork (Math, Chemistry, Physics). Foreign Language Student requirements: 1. Must be of at least sophomore status. 2. Preference will be given to Foreign Language students pursuing teacher certification. 3. Must have a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Preference will be given to students participating in Study Abroad programs at Eastern Illinois University. Financial need is not a consideration.
