Description: The recipient(s) must be a full-time student accepted to EIU and hold class status of Junior or Senior. The recipient(s) must be a current member in good standing of the fraternity Sigma Pi. The recipient(s) must have a declared major in one of the departments within the College of Sciences or the College of Education and Professional Studies. The recipient(s) must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.5. The recipient(s) must demonstrate active participation in civic activities, with preference given to those students who are community service oriented. The selection committee shall require an essay of the applicants. Special consideration shall be given to service and professional involvement, academic achievement, scholarship, and leadership. Financial need is a consideration.
