Dr. & Mrs. Jerry Heath Sports Medicine Scholarship
Description: The recipient(s) shall be an undergraduate Sophomore or Junior student who is enrolled full-time in Eastern Illinois University. Preference shall be given to a varsity athlete who shows interest and aptitude for the field of sports medicine. Preference shall also be given to a student(s) with a declared major in Pre-Medicine or closely associated field of study. Preference shall be given to a student(s) who is receiving no other athletic scholarship(s). Financial need shall be the determining factor given otherwise equally qualified applicants. Once the endowment corpus has earned sufficient funding, scholarships in multiples of $1,000 minimums may be awarded and additional students meeting the criteria may receive this award. At the discretion of the Athletic Director, the available scholarship earnings may be disbursed to allow for the best possible distribution of scholarships to varsity athletes who meet the above criteria.
