Terry McCullough Memorial Community Press Scholarship

Description:  The scholarship recipient shall be a Junior majoring in Journalism with the emphasis in news-editorials/newspapers. The recipient must intend to complete the entire program at EIU. The recipient must show a commitment to a community newspaper journalism career by: a) writing a statement (250 words) on his/her career objectives, and b) working on the DEN ( Daily Eastern News), the Heartland magazine, The Minority Today, and/or any other public, community newspaper. The recipient shall have a high academic standing. Financial need is a consideration, BUT only after the number of candidates has been reduced to three.
