James E and Joseph T Connelly Scholarship

Description:  The recipient must be a political science major at Eastern Illinois University. The recipient must be either a junior or a second semester sophomore. The recipient must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and a grade point average of 3.0 in three or more politcial science courses. The recipient must have a record of community or university service. The recipient must write a 300-500 word essay that illustrates a "social conscience approach" to a governmental problem. The award shall be announced each Spring and issued the following Fall semester. Applications are available in the department office.
