Dr Harold M & Alice D Cavins Scholarship
Description: The recipient must be a full-time student, with a declared major in a health related field, accepted to Eastern Illinois University. The recipient must be a junior, senior, or graduate student preparing for a career in a health related field. The recipient must have a 3.0 GPA at award date. The recipient must display an integrity of character and a demonstrated willingness to be of service to the community. Financial need is not a consideration. The recipient may be eligible to apply for, and recieve, the award again provided she/he continues to meet the stated criteria. The award shall be announced in the Spring and paid in the following Fall semester to Eastern Illinois University to be first applied against costs (tuition, fees, housing, etc.) associated with the recipient(s) attending EIU. The College of Sciences will award this scholarship in odd-numbered fiscal years and the College of Education and Professional Studies will award in even-numbered fiscal years.
