Can I get my grades over the telephone?

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 prohibits us from releasing grade information over the telephone because we can not verify the identity of the person requesting the information.

How can I obtain a copy of my son's/daughter's/significant other's grades?

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 prohibits us from releasing grades without either the presentation of a photo i.d. (student i.d. or driver's license) and/or a written release from the student (such as a transcript request).

How can I find out what courses from my community college will transfer to Eastern?

Illinois community college course articulation information is available on the transfer and course substitution information pages.

Will a grade of 'D' transfer to Eastern?

Eastern will accept courses in which a grade of 'D' or higher has been earned as long as the cumulative grade point average from the community college is 'C' or higher. This does not apply to ENG1001, ENG1002, or SPC1310. You must earn a grade of 'C' or higher in each course for theses courses to transfer.

Will my grade point average from another institution transfer to Eastern?

When a course is transferred to Eastern, we accept only the hours for the course and not the grade. Transfer courses do not affect the student's Eastern grade point average. Furthermore, a student may not repeat a class, previously taken at Eastern, at another institution and use it to replace a lower grade in the calculation of Eastern's grade point average.
