Program Mission
The mission of the Department of Recreation Administration at Eastern Illinois University is to implement a curriculum, which will prepare highly competent recreation and RT/TR professionals through effective coursework and meaningful field experiences. The department helps students develop an in-depth understanding of recreation and its importance in enhancing the quality of life. In addition, students graduating from this program will possess the administrative skills necessary to support diversity and strategic thinking, promote ethical practices, and foster healthy and sustainable communities through comprehensive recreation programs.
