Applications Being Taken for EIU Homecoming Parade

Applications will be accepted no later than Tuesday, Sept. 30, for those wishing to participate in this year's Eastern Illinois University Homecoming Parade.

The parade, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, will follow the traditional route leading north on Seventh Street to the Charleston Square, then back south to campus via Fourth Street. The theme of this year's Homecoming celebration is "The Good, The Bad and The Eighties."

There is no cost for participation in the parade, and organizers say candy may be handed out (but not thrown!)

Those interested in picking up applications may do so at the EIU Student Activities Center, located in room 201 of the University Union, or at the service desk at the Charleston Wal-Mart.
