Traditional "2+2" Pre-Nursing Program at EIU
Students may choose to
attend EIU for two years and then transfer to any of a number of
accredited programs that offer a baccalaureate degree in Nursing (B.S.N.)
and the knowledge and preparation to pass the certification exam
required to become a registered nurse (R.N.). Since your B.S.N. will be
awarded by another institution, you must meet their requirements. Please

because most nursing programs require similar courses.

courses at a local community college, contact the
Evaluator's Office (Room 1150, Old Main, 217-581-5942) regarding course
transfer.
