COS Student Advisory Board
Jacob Griffin
Jacob
is a junior Political Science major at Eastern Illinois University.
Upon graduation, he plans on attending law school. He is involved in
many extracurricular activities at EIU, including the College of
Sciences Student Advisory Board. The College of Sciences encompasses
eleven different departments. Each department selects a student to
represent the department in the monthly board meeting with the Dean of
the College of Sciences. During the meeting, each student gives a
brief report of current events and news in his/her department. The
Student Advisory Board is beneficial because it allows each department
to keep up to date with other departments in the College of Sciences
and allows student’s voices and concerns to be heard.
