Dr. Wandling (Ph.D., Miami University) teaches courses in public administration, public policy and cities and urban politics/policy. Specific courses recently taught in these areas include Public Organization Theory (PLS 4793); Government Budgeting and Politics (PLS 4893); Cities, Politics and Urban Policy (PLS 5153); and Public Policy Seminar (PLS 5843). His current research agenda focuses on state-local relations relative to local policy-making, with a particular focus on county governments in Illinois. He also has been active in non-profit organizations at the decision-making and policy-making levels, serving most recently as President of the Coles County Habitat for Humanity affiliate. He also is Chair of the Political Science Department, and he works with both undergraduate and graduate students in coordinating internships in federal, state and local politics and government.
