Second Annual Distinguished Alumni Award 2009
Stan Tylman (B.A., 1969: M.A., 1974) has a well established record of government service that has included high-level positions with the Illinois Department of Human Services, the Illinois Department of Mental Health and Disabilities and the Illinois Regional Archives Depository System. His most recent positions of Developer and Manager of the Illinois Prescription Monitoring Program and the Illinois Prescription Information Library have also been of great benefit to higher education in Illinois. He has been responsible for bringing graduate assistantships to a number of universities across Illinois, with Eastern Illinois University also being a recipient. In addition to his life in public service, Stan has educated hundreds of students at Lincoln Land Community College, where he continues to serve as an adjunct instructor of political science.
