Announcing a New Political Science Faculty Member

The Political Science Department is pleased to announce Paul Janssen Danyi as a new professor for the 2014-15 academic year.  Professor Janssen Danyi is nearing completion of his Ph.D. in Political Science at Purdue University, where he has specialized in International Relations and Comparative Politics, with minors in Public Policy and History.  The dissertation for his doctorate is entitled "Bypassing Democracy: Why Domestic Human Rights NGOs in Stable Democracies Appeal to Multilateral Forums".  Professor Danyi also has served as a Junior Research Fellow for the last two years at the Free University Berlin, Germany, where he has been with the Otto-Suhr Institute for Political Science--Center for Transnational Relations, Foreign and Security Policy.

During the Fall 2014 semester, Professor Janssen Danyi will be teaching the following courses at Eastern Illinois University:
