If you like science and math but feel the need to study something with direct applications in the job market then consider Radiation Physics. In this major you will be exposed to a number of concepts and techniques that employers in the field want. You will learn about protecting people and their environment from radiation hazards while making it possible for humankind to benefit from the many technologies that use radioactive materials and radiation.
This option was designed with input from industry so that placement of graduates can be as smooth as possible. Graduates are prepared to take positions as radiation safety officers and laser safety officers. They may also go to further study in the Health Physics area.
