Jason WallerJason Waller

Professor Waller specializes in Modern Philosophy, Political Philosophy, and Metaphysics.  He received his BA in 2004 from Kent State University where he majored in philosophy, classics, and English.  He then won a Ross Fellow to study at Purdue University where he received his MA in 2006 and PhD in 2009 (with highest honors).  His dissertation "Spinoza on the Persistence of Bodies" was nominated for an Outstanding Dissertation Award by his committee.

Professor Waller has published articles in the British Journal for the History of Philosophy, Analysis and Metaphysics, Linguistic and Philosophical Investigations, and the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy (available here: http://www.iep.utm.edu/spinoz-m/).  He is currently co-authoring a book with Daniel Frank of Purdue on Spinoza's political philosophy.  This book is under contract with Routledge to appear in the popular Routledge Philosophy Guidebook Series in 2012.
