Susan Teicher studied piano with Rosina Lhevinne and Martin Canin at The Juilliard School, where she received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees. Further study at The Peabody Institute with Leon Fleisher culminated with her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in 1983. She presented her debut solo recital at Carnegie Recital Hall in 1979 under the auspices of Artists International Presentations, and two subsequent recitals there in 1980 and 1981. While in residence in Sydney, Australia, between 1983 and 1985, she concertized extensively and was on the piano faculty at The Sydney Conservatory. Other teaching posts include the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Recent performances include solo appearances with the Illinois Symphony, the Champaign Urbana Symphony, the Rockford Symphony, and with the University of Georgia Symphony.
