Kathreen Ryan, is an instructor at Eastern Illinois University and principal second for Sinfonia da Camera. She received her B.M., M.M., and D.M.A. degrees from the University of Illinois. She has studied violin with Sherban Lupu and Peter Schafer, viola with Micheal McCelland and Guiermo Perich, and baroque violin with Stanley Richie. She has performed the Beethoven Triple Concerto with the Danville Symphony Orchestra, the Champaign-Urbana Symphony, and the Eastern Symphony. She has appeared as a soloist with the BACH Ensemble performing Vivaldi's Summer. Ryan has performed with the Danville Symphony, Peoria Symphony, Peoria Civic Opera, Springfield Municipal Opera Association, Illinois Symphony, Decatur Symphony, Prairie Ensemble, and Illinois Chamber Orchestra. She performs with the Eaton Chapel Players, and is the violinist in the Arcadia Trio, formerly the Ryan-Liu-Sutter Trio. She is the director of the Charleston Youth Orchestra which she founded in 1997. She teaches privatel in Charleston, Illinois.
