Due to the move into the new Doudna Fine Arts Center,
Piano Camp will be postponed until summer 2009. Please
check back in the future for all the details of this
new and exciting camp for summer 2009.
Piano camp is open to students entering the 7th through 12th grades. Students will have excellent instructional guidance from EIU faculty and be given an opportunity to participate in the following:
- private lessons with university faculty
- theory classes
- sight-reading classes
- chamber music
Participants will also have an opportunity to perform for family and friends at a final concert on Saturday, the last day of camp.
Piano camp is co-coordinated by two of Eastern Illinois University’s finest faculty.
 Susan Teicher, co-coordinator
Susan Teicher, Assistant Professor of Piano at Eastern Illinois University, received her Bachelor and Masters degrees from The Juilliard School, and her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Peabody.
In January 2003, she presented a live radio broadcast on WILL FM at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which was awarded The Communicator Awards’ top prize, The Crystal Award for Excellence. She is also a member of the Music Teachers National Association.
