Join us as we host our first annual diversity conference Feb. 20-21, 2009 in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union located on EIU's campus! Entitled "Stepping Outside Your Comfort Zone," the conference is designed to raise diversity awareness and advocacy on Eastern's campus as well as on campuses across the nation.
The conference will be headlined by special guest and keynote speaker Steve Birdine, a nationally acclaimed speaker, educator, and motivator. There will also be several workshops lead by esteemed EIU faculty.
Participants will receive a complementary gift bag and are invited to attend the keynote address and luncheon on February 21st.
Best of all, because of our strong relationships with various organizations and departments on campus, EIUnity is offering this conference FREE OF CHARGE! Everything from the workshops, game night, lunch, and other activities are all included for free when you register!
REGISTRATION CLOSES ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13TH AT 4:30 PM. ALTHOUGH YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOPS WITHOUT REGISTERING, YOU WILL MISS OUT ON THE KEYNOTE ADDRESS, LUNCHEON, JEOPARDY! & GAME NIGHT, AND THINK TANK SESSIONS. RESERVE YOUR SPOT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!
