Top Tier-These applicants are granted automatic admission to the MBA program provided their other application materials do not provide evidence that reflects negatively on the quality of their application. Most graduate assistantships are awarded to top tier applicants.
Selective Tier- If an applicant does not meet the requirements for automatic admission to the MBA program, he or she may still be granted selective admission. Selective admission decisions will normally be made by the Coordinator of Graduate Business Studies. The Coordinator of Graduate Business Studies can request that selective admission decisions be made by the School of Business Graduate Committee when it is believed that the interest in applying to the MBA program is at a high enough level to make it difficult to keep the class size of core MBA classes at 29 students or fewer.
Provisional Tier-If an applicant does not meet the requirements to be considered for selective admission to the MBA program, he or she can request to be considered for provisional admission. Provisional admission decisions are made by the School of Business Graduate Committee. For more information regarding provisional admissions, please click here.
