General Information

The Eastern Illinois University Panther Marching Band invites YOU to join us for the 37th Annual Panther Marching Band Festival on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in O’Brien Stadium on the campus of Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois.

This annual event is a field competition will be a great way for high school bands to close an amazing season! Placement and caption awards in each class in the areas of music, visual, general effect, percussion, guard, and drum major will be awarded. Grand Champion and Spirit trophies will be awarded for Small Class (1A and 2A combined) and Large Class (3A and 4A) divisions. 

The event will be capped at 40 participating bands. A new system of classification is being implemented for 2013. It is a hybrid of school enrollment and band size. Here is a tentative sample of the new system:

Class 1A: School Enrollment 1-1100, Band Size of 1-79 students

Class 2A: School Enrollment 1-1100, Band Size of 80+

Class 3A: School Enrollment of 1101+, Band Size of 1-79

Class 4A: School Enrollment of 1101+, Band Size of 80+

Performance Schedule

We hope you will join us for the exciting and spectacular pageantry of Illinois high school marching bands in O’Brien Stadium. The Panther Marching Band will be performing in exhibition after all bands and just before the awards ceremony.

DVD's

DVD's are available for purchase directly from the Flushing Pheasant. Each DVD contains the entire division's performance, along with the Panther Marching Band's Exhibition Performance. Orders may be placed on the day of the competition.

 

Tickets

$8 for adults 
$5 for students/senior citizens
Children ages 5 and under are FREE
Tickets available on the day of the event.  Cash or check accepted.
