General Information

We are BACK!  The Eastern Illinois University Panther Marching Band invites YOU to join us for the 33rd Annual Panther Marching Band Festival on Saturday, September 26, 2009 in O’Brien Stadium on the campus of Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, Illinois.

This annual event is a field competition in a two-division format, a festival division for judges’ comments only and a competition division by band size.  In the competition division, there will be placement and caption awards in each class in the areas of music, visual, general effect, percussion, auxiliaries, and drum major(s).

Festival Division participants will receive a participation trophy, as well as helpful comments from outstanding adjudicators.

Performance Schedule

We hope you will join us for this exciting and spectacular event of Illinois high school marching bands in O’Brien Stadium. The Panther Marching Band will be performing in exhibition after all bands have performed and just before the awards ceremony.

The competition will be moved to the Lantz Field House in the case of rain.

Percussion:  Jim Bailey, I-2 Percussion & Former Percussion Caption Head for The Cavaliers  

Guard/Auxiliary:  Dan Swallow, Unit 5 School District, Normal, IL

Drum Major:  Kimberly Breene, Champaign, Illinois

Tickets

$8 for adults 
$5 for students/senior citizens
Children 5 years of age and under are FREE
Tickets will be sold at the stadium on the day of the event.  Cash or checks will be accepted.
