Sigma Phi Omega

Sigma Phi Omega (SPO) is the national academic honor and professional society in gerontology. Established in 1980, SPO recognizes the excellence of those who study gerontology and aging along with the outstanding service of professionals working with or on behalf of older people. SPO is a nationally recognized honorary society.

Purpose

SPO seeks to promote scholarship, professionalism, friendship and services to older people and also recognize exemplary attainment in gerontology studies and related fields.
