Graduates of this program are employed in not-for-profit and private organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions. Employment opportunities include direct social services, program administration, government service, adult education such as nutrition education, research, long term care, and higher education.
More than 125 students have graduated with the M.A. in Gerontology degree since 1981. Of the students responding to a survey, 73% started their first job in a field related to Gerontology and 65% - 79% are currently employed in the field of Gerontology.
