1st Annual Research & Creative Activity Symposium

The Lumpkin College of Business and Technology cordially invites the students and professors of LCBAS to participate in the First Annual Student Research and Creative Activity Symposium on April 23, 2015.

This symposium is a college-wide showcase of students' research and creative activity projects and serves as a forum for the exchange of academic ideas among students, professors and the EIU community. It will feature presentations about papers, posters, theses, and recently completed and on-going projects conducted by graduate and undergraduate students.

Proposals from all LCBAS programs (undergraduate & graduate) including certificates are eligible. This event will provide a perfect forum to showcase the talent of our students.

9:00 am: Opening Remarks | Roberson Auditorium, 2030 LH

9:15 am-4:30 pm:  Oral Presentations, Roberson Auditorium, 2030 LH

9:30 am-10:30 am:  Poster Session I | Student Lounge, LH

2:00 pm-3:00 pm:  Poster Session II | Student Lounge, LH

Important Dates

Proposal Deadline:  March 25, 2015

Acceptance Notification: April 3, 2015

Student Research & Creative Activity Symposium: April 23, 2015

Submit a Proposal

Students are invited to submit a proposal representing original work in their area. Projects may be completed or in progress. Submissions must include:

• An abstract of 100-200 words clearly stating the content of the presentation.
• Complete contact information for author(s), telephone and email.
• Preference for oral or poster presentation.
