Mark May, the Assistant Director of the Learning Assistance Center, is
happy to meet with students to discuss their approach to learning as well
as any other factors that impact the learning process. He typically works
with students using the materials (textbook, class notes, past tests,
assignments) from specific courses in which they are currently enrolled. Through
testing, tutoring and talking with the students, he suggests ways to improve
academic performance. Mark then refers students to other services on
campus, monitors their progress, tutors them on a regular
basis, or creates an individualized learning plan for students to follow.
University students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to call him to
discuss individual consultations at
581-6696.
