The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) opened at Eastern Illinois
University in 1998. Services are provided to all students on a first-come,
first-served basis. Individual
student consultations, classroom and residence hall instruction, the
30-minute student workshop series, diagnostic testing, learning related
software, special programs, referral services, and an open computer
laboratory are among the services provided. Faculty and staff are
encouraged to refer students, or students may contact the LAC directly. The
LAC is a unit of the Center for
Academic Support and Achievement.
