The EIU Department of Foreign Languages, in cooperation with International Programs, sponsors study abroad programs in Spain, Latin America, France and Belgium and affordable exchange programs with the Universities of Cologne, Germany; Innsbruck, Austria; and others. In addition, students interested in spending a semester, summer or entire year abroad can receive course credit for foreign study under a number of programs offered by other universities or organizations. EIU's coordinator of International Education in the International Programs Office can help you find the program that fits your needs, interests and budget.
Internships in Spanish, French and German can be arranged for you to earn academic credit by working and living in a foreign country or using your language skills closer to home.
