Interns at KSDK contribute significantly to the product. Assignments are available in sports, the assignment desk, special projects, and the station's "Show ME St. Louis" daily magazine show. Interested students should send these documents to the station: a letter explaining why the student would like to be a KSDK intern, an official college transcript, a resume, broadcast writing samples or work from a journalism class, a letter of recommendation from a broadcast professional. None of these materials can be returned. The intern must arrange to receive academic credit for the internship and furnish a personal letter from his/her academic advisor explaining the arrangement. The internship is unpaid. Each candidate must attend a personal interview. Interviews are scheduled at 11 a.m. at KSDK on the following dates:
- March 3
- March 11
- March 18
- April 8

Blethen Maine Newspapers which is part of the Seattle Times Co.
and the largest newspaper company in Maine, is pleased to announce
the continuation of its summer internship program for college students
and recent college graduates who are interested in journalism careers.
Here’s information about the annual program:
The Blethen Maine Newspapers Minority Summer Internship Program
is a 12-week program that gives entry-level journalists of minority
ethnic or racial descent some valuable daily newsroom experience
at Maine’s largest newspaper.
The program enables college students – at the bachelor or
graduate level – as well as recent college graduates the chance
to hone their journalistic skills. The interns work with experienced
editors, who will provide guidance, mentoring and coaching.
Interns work as members of the staff, only with more coaching, and
journalists in any discipline – reporting, copy editing, photography
or graphic design – may apply. These are paid positions.
The program's next two openings will take place in the summer of
2005. Interested writers, copy editors, photographers, graphic artists
and other journalists should send a resume, cover letter and a half
dozen samples of their work to Blethen Maine Newspapers Minority

KSDK News Channel Five (St.

KDSK is looking for interns to join us for January
2005.
Our internship program offers a wide variety
of experiences, and more than most television stations. Each intern
contributes significantly to the product. Each has a task, tailored
specifically. Assignments are available in sports, on the assignment
desk and working with the reporters to research stories. We also

work in a paid summer internship reporting and editing. Students must have

Florida-Times Union Internship

The Florida-Times is offering college students 12-week paid summer 2005 internsips
for copy editing/design, graphics, new media, photography and reporting.
Meetings will be held with editors each week. Applications must be made in
writing and should include GPA, previous journalism

vehicle and be drug-free.
