Where do I go to change my preferences?

Go to http://lists.eiu.edu/ and then select the list you are subscribed to. Go to the bottom of the list information page, enter your email address and select "Edit Preferences".

Each list that you are subscribed to will have its own set of preferences.

I want to change my password or I forgot my password.

Go to the preferences page for any list you are subscribed to. Go to the preferences page for any list you are subscribed to. If you know your password, enter it as the old password and then enter the new password you want to change it to.

If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Email my password to me" button. Your password will be emailed to you using the email address that you subscribed with.

Your password is the same for any list you are subscribed to. If you change it on one list page, that change will carry over to all lists.

Where do I send my messages?

• To send messages to the list, use <listname>@lists.eiu.edu
• To send messages to the list administrator, use owner-<listname>@lists.eiu.edu

How do I subscribe to a list?

Go to http://lists.eiu.edu, select the list you wish to subscribe to, and follow the directions shown to subscribe to the list.

The list I want to subscribe to is not shown in the available mailing lists, yet my professor (or list administrator) told me it is available.

Most likely the list is not public. For a private list, you will need to manually type into your browser http://lists.eiu.edu/mailman/listinfo/<listname>.
