Transfer Instructions

In addition to the procedures and documents required for their Undergraduate or Graduate application, transfer students must also download and fill out a Transfer Application Form and send it to EIU International Programs along with photocopies of pages 3 and 4 of their I-20 form.

Half of this form must be completed by your current International Student Advisor; please meet with him/her concerning your intent to transfer as soon as possible. Upon arrival, visit the International Programs Office immediately to complete the transfer process.

Helpful Hints for Potential Transfers:

+Sending course descriptions or syllabi (translated into English) along with your transcripts will improve both the speed and the accuracy of the transfer credit process.

+Be sure to attend International Student Orientation, even if you are transferring from another American university. Procedures concerning immigration documentation and financial matters vary from school to school and missing their explanation here could be a costly mistake.
