On May 22, Dr. Augustine and Dr. Nilsen hosted a reception for EIU alumni who begin their studies at the University of Cologne, Germany . Those in attendance included:

Dr. Herb Breidenbach, faculty emeritus of the Foreign Language Department at Eastern, also joined the group to provide the historical perspective on how Eastern and the University of Cologne became international educational partners. Christine Biehl, International Coordinator from Cologne, was also a special guest. Dr. Nilsen provided an update on university activities and Dr. Augustine extended greetings from the International Programs Offices. The alumni shared their experiences at as international students at Eastern and learned about the new international courtyard planned for the east side of Blair Hall.
