Tuition: Graduate tuition and Scholarship amount is based on enrollment in 9 credit hours per semester. 9 credits is considered full-time status by SEVIS.

Fees: See link for fee description. Fee costs are subject to change depending on number of courses taken. The International Student Fee is $230 per academic year. All international students must pay this amount, regardless if they are on EIU's campus or not. International students who take all online courses from abroad will also be charged this amount, which provides support to international students and OISS.

Living Expenses: These are estimated for single students, with Out of State rate. For students with dependents, you should allow an additional $5,525.00 per year for your spouse and an additional $2,000.00 per year for each child. These amounts will cover their food, housing, medical care, and other miscellaneous expenses. This is the minimum amount you should prove for your I-20 or DS-2019.

*Total USD (per year): Please expect an approximate increase each year.

International Student Scholarship: Awards are dependent on available scholarship monies.

Health Insurance: OISS reminds students that your current health insurance policy may provide benefits while attending Eastern Illinois University. If you do not have insurance or if your insurance does not cover you during this time, we strongly recommend a comprehensive health insurance plan. Costs for insurance plans will vary depending on the amount and length of coverage.
