Charleston, IL -- Several Eastern Illinois University housing staff members received prominent awards at the Great Lakes Association of College and University Housing Officers Conference (GLACUHO).
Winners included Bill Kolacek, Complex Director of Carman Hall, who was honored with the GLASS award for his presentation on "My Super-Sized Life." This award is given to the conference presenter who, on the basis of program evaluations, is deemed to have the top program at the conference.
Tracy Cunningham, Resident Director of Taylor Hall, presented her "Tunnel of Oppression" program and was honored with a Top 10 Program award.
Jody Stone, Assistant Director of Housing, was also awarded the Outstanding Service Award. This award is presented to one individual within the GLACUHO area who has provided significant contributions at the nominee's institution and has provided outstanding service on the GLACUHO Board of Directors.
Amy Price, Area Director, and Doug Howell, Resident Director of Thomas Hall, were also elected to the GLACUHO Board of Directors for the upcoming term.
This conference includes the states of Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois. The organization seeks to advance and communicate professional knowledge and standards in the field of student housing. |
