Residence Halls & Greek Court 
To apply for the residence halls or Greek Court, excluding University Apartments and University Court Apartments, all prospective residents must:
- Fall 2008 - Return the housing application and a $50 non-refundable application fee to establish a priority for a hall assignment. You do not have to be accepted to the university to start the hall assignment process. All assignments are first-come-first-serve and based on availability, so don't hesitate to apply today!
- Rates for fall 2008
- A fall room & board contract and a survey sheet will be mailed to you in March (fall semester) or October (spring semester). The room & board contract and survey sheet are due in late-March (fall semester) or November (spring semester).
- Current Eastern Illinois University students had the option to take advantage of an Early bird recontracting offer from November 27, 2007 - December 15, 2007. This contract is available for references purposes as well as the terms of participation.
- A housing assignment letter and a copy of the contract will be sent to you in May (fall semester) or November (spring semester). For students who applied for housing after April 1st, assignment letters will not go out until July.
- The deadline to cancel the room & board contract is June 12th (fall semester) or December 12th (spring semester).
- An initial housing payment of $250 is due June 12th for the fall semester and December 12th for Spring regardless of financial aid. If the initial housing payment of $250 is not received by June 12th, and December 12th for spring, the room assignment and contract will be cancelled.
- A letter containing your finalized housing assignment will be mailed to you in late July (fall semester only).
- Students requiring special accommodations should contact University Housing & Dining Services and Disability Services at their earliest convenience in order to discuss their particular needs before coming to campus.
- If you are a member of a fraternity or sorority with a home in Greek Court , please contact the Greek Life Office at (217) 581-3829 to make arrangements.
University Court
The University Court apartment complex is designed for students with a minimum of 30 semester hours or 21 years of age. Please contact the University Court Office at (217) 581-8000 concerning availability. Contract

University Apartments
The apartments are designed to meet the needs of student families, single graduate students, and non-traditional students. All assignments are made on the basis of date of application. The $125.00 deposit must accompany the application form . ($25.00 is non-refundable.) Please contact us at (217) 581-5633 concerning availability. Contract
