Policies and Leasing Information
1. You must have completed 30 credit hours or be 21 years old to reside at University Court.
2. You must have desired number of roommates (2, 3, or 4) to fill lease option available. We do not help find your roommates.
3. Lease options and copy of contract are available at the University Court office (by the swimming pool). All persons must read the contract before signing.
4. You must make an appointment to see University Court staff person. All roommates must be present. All persons must bring a drivers license when lease is signed and all security deposits are required when lease is signed. Persons living in U. Ct. may a sign new lease in January. Persons living in the residence halls and Greek Court may sign in February. (Call the last week in January to make your appointment.) New students and off-campus students may sign in March. (Call the last week of February to make your appointment.)
5. Utilities provided by university: pin # system, no monthly charge for local calls - basic cable - trash removal. Utilities not provided by university: your long distance phone calls, water and electric. Connection forms are available at University Court office. Drivers license required.
6. Services offered at University Court desk:
sweepers, work requests, change, copy machine, stamps, lock-outs (during office hours), laundry facilities in each building, an emergency phone number after 4:30pm, and a meal ticket plan is offered through dining services.
7. Security deposit requirement: additional $75.00 for on campus persons. $125.00 if no housing deposit is presently on file. All deposits are due at time of signing the contract.
8. Parking permits available through university police dept. University Court parking is considered upper classmen and an upperclass sticker is required for this lot. Therefore, if you are a sophomore, parking will be available with your underclassmen sticker at the 9th street parking lot.
9. Alcohol policy: Must be 21 for beer and wine in quantities less than a gallon. No hard alcohol or kegs are allowed for anyone. No underage drinking.
10. As with any University Housing facility, pets are not allowed with the exception of fish. Also, grills are not allowed on the balconies. For other University Court policies and procedures please refer to your University Court Handbook.
