For your convenience, we have provided step by step instructions for stackable residence hall room furniture. 

Room furniture setup instructions (Please note that Pemberton and Stevenson Halls do not have stackable furniture)

All furniture must remain in the room as all furniture is inventoried to a specific room and must remain in that room. The only arrangements allowed are the ones outlined by the manufacturer. Blocks or other artificial lifts for bunk legs are not allowed. Contact paper, staples, stickers, hooks, nails, or other attachments are not allowed.

Connection pins are available upon request at the hall office. Ladders are also available upon request. If assistance is needed to change the furniture arrangement please contact the residence hall desk in the building where you reside.

If you are building your own loft in other locations: Lofts must be free standing and not be attached to a wall or ceiling in any fashion. No part of the frame may rest on or be supported by a desk top, bolster, chest of drawers, shelf, chair, or other furnishing or part of the room. Bolsters may not be removed from the wall or readjusted to accommodate a loft. Lofts must support the full length of the box spring unit. If the loft does not utilize the bed frame provided by university housing, this frame must be kept in your room and remains your responsibility until you check out of the building

Lofts must be designed and constructed with fire and personal safety in mind. Therefore, Housing Staff reserves the right to stop and/or redesign the construction of or ask for the removal of any loft. Enclosed or cave-like lofts are not permitted. The University does not assume responsibility for personal or property damage resulting from the use of lofts.
