Ethernet connections allow on-campus residents direct access to the Internet 24-hours a day. Operating just over a T1 level, the Ethernet connections are 300 times faster than the average ISP and 3 times faster than a DSL (cable) service. The cost of a Category 6 cable and a 10-100 LAN Ethernet adapter card are the only costs associated with the on-campus connections.
