Campus Wide Scholarships

The following scholarships are administered

by The Honors College

but open to any EIU student who qualifies.

All three scholarships will use the same application. Application materials are available on this web site and in the Honors College Office on the first day of fall semester each year. See application below.

Doudna Memorial Scholarship

The Doudna Memorial Scholarship was named in honor of a former President of Eastern Illinois University. Criteria for Eligibility:
* First semester EIU freshman
* Graduation from an Illinois high school with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

John L. Whisnand Scholarship

This scholarship was established to honor the late John L. Whisnand.

Criteria for Eligibility:
*EIU undergraduate student with at least one year of study left to complete a degree
*Demonstration of financial need

Margaret Schmidt Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the estate of Margaret Schmidt. Criteria for Eligibility:
*Demonstrated academic achievement
