Exhibits

History Museum Exhibits is a two semester course which combines the study of exhibitions as both a medium of communication and an informal learning environment with the hands-on experience of producing an exhibition in collaboration with either one of the museums on campus or in the local vicinity. In addition to examining the role, function and development of exhibits in general, work on the production of the assigned exhibit project also begins in the fall semester. Assignments include theme development, research, text writing, formative evaluation, floor plan and elevation drawings, and various fabrication and construction techniques.
