Wade Ellett

Wade Ellett is from Mattoon, IL and received his BA in History from EIU as well as his MA in American History.
After his first trip through grad school, Wade interned at The Homestead Prairie Farm at the Rock Springs Nature Center and taught a semester at Richland Community College, but in the Decatur, IL area. Interested in museums and public history, Wade thought it was the right time to return to EIU to pursue the Historical Administration program.
Wade's general research interests include the 1930s swing movement, the comic book controversy, southern Illinois folklore, and confidence men and swindlers. Areas of interest in the museum field include archive and collections management. Wade is currently working as the graduate assistant managing the Hennings Family Digital Archive.
In his free time Wade enjoys going running, reading comic books, and having good times with friends.
