Katherine Unruh

Katherine considers herself a person from many places including Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin. In May 2012 she completed her Bachelor's degree at Concordia University Chicago with majors in History and Women's & Gender Studies and a minor in Art.
After an excellent summer internship at Manassas National Battlefield Park in Virginia and volunteering at the Oak Park and River Forest Historical Society in Illinois, Katherine knew she needed to pursue a career that enabled her to share her love for history with public audiences.
Katherine now serves the History and Historical Administration departments as the technology graduate assistant and enjoys learning new things every day.
In her spare moments, Katherine catches up with family and friends, draws, and paints. In the future she aims to hold a position in interpretation at a US historic site or museum and design exhibits.
