| 3 September 2007: For Labor Day weekend, the HA class decided to take a break and have a picnic at Lake Charleston. We had a little trouble getting a fire started to grill the hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken, but as you can see, Kristen and Tiffany discovered an effective method: a match and a lot of lighter fluid! Luckily no serious burns were sustained this day. Dan, Angie, and Aly enjoyed the nice view of the lake. "Where are all the cornfields though?" they wondered. Catherine, Laurie, Alex, and Kristen enjoyed some tasty food while the grill continued to smoke in the background. |

15 September 2007: At the History Department picnic, the HA students and faculty engaged in an intense game of bocce ball. Tiffany displayed her game face while trying to intimidate Catherine, Laurie, Aly, and Dr. Reid. Catherine and Aly were the victors of the day. Later in the day, Tiffany, Dan, Kristen, and Laurie enjoyed the EIU football game against Illinois State. |

| 1 November 2007: With the school week over, most of the class met to celebrate Halloween and take out their frustrations on helpless pumpkins. |  |
