The Health Education Resource Center serves as a resource for students, faculty, and staff by providing programs, campaigns, interventions, and one-on-one consultations regarding health-related topics. The HERC offers health programming in the areas of alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention and education, flu and cold prevention and education, nutritional analysis and education, and sexual health education, in addition to many other health-related topics. Most services are free to students!
The goals of the HERC are to: reduce alcohol consumption rates and alcohol-related harm, reduce sexual health risks and sexual-related harm, reduce tobacco use rates and tobacco related harm, increase positive nutrition-related behaviors, prevent cold and flu transmission and to reduce related harm, and to increase positive sleep behaviors.

Request a Program
Resident assistants, professors, registered student organizations, and others on campus have the opportunity to request presentations/programs through the HERC. A variety of options are available including: Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention, Bystander Intervention Training, Sexual Health, and more.
