Barbara Cooper - Financial Health Education
Greetings! I am proud to be serving as the
Financial Health Education Coordinator at the Health Education Resource
Center. I am a strong believer that financial education aids people in
the ability to be able to make more informed financial decisions. My
professional goals, while at EIU, are to promote financial education in
hopes that students will find value in the benefits it can have on their
financial health.
I was raised in Edgar County and graduated from
Shiloh High School. I received my undergraduate in Liberal Arts from
EIU and am currently pursuing a MS in Family and Consumers Sciences. I
am focusing on Consumer Affairs and Family Services. I am particularly
interested in research that indicates college students are lacking
knowledge on budgeting, credit and credit cards, identity theft, and are
gambling in excess. If you are interested in information on any of
these topics please stop be the Health Education and Resource Center or
contact me by phone at 217-581-7786 or by email at
bmcooper2@eiu.edu.
Barbara can be reached at (217) 581-7786 or by email at
