Eric's personal mission is to serve, teach, and lead so that the health, leadership abilities, and personal development of others is strengthened! Eric recently graduated from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale with a Doctorate of Philosphy in Education with a focus in Health Education. His doctoral dissertation focused on predictors of sleep quality and quantity in college students. His research interests include: sleep quality and quantity and its effect on academic success/performance in college students, factors influencing flu vaccination of college students, health service utilization and its impact on collegiate academic success, health behaviors and their impact on collegiate academic success, effective substance abuse and sexual health education interventions for college students, and collegiate peer education efforts. In his spare time, Eric enjoys being with his family, watching 80's one-hit wonder videos on YouTube, viewing the original Star Wars trilogy, memorizing 80's pop culture trivia, and mowing his lawn.
