Description:
The purpose of the Proposal Initiative Fund (PIF) is to support projects with potential to lead to significant external funding. Normally, anyone who accepts a PIF grant will agree in writing to submit a proposal for external funding within 12 months of the end of the PIF grant. There are two types of PIF grants: Type A (maximum of $1,500) and Type B (maximum of $7,500). Applicants for Type A grants must demonstrate plans to apply for an external grant worth a total of at least $20,000 within one year of the end of the Type A grant. Applicants for Type B grants must demonstrate plans to apply for an external grant worth at least $50,000 per year within one year of the end of the Type B grant.
