Other Scholarly Achievements
The purpose of the Report is to illustrate the contributions that the faculty and academic staff at the Eastern Illinois University have made during the academic year as indicated by their scholarly publications, creative achievements, student mentorship, and other academic awards.
Guidelines for Report Submissions
Within the bounds of editorial discretion, the following employment-related publications and creative achievements that meet recognized standards in their professional fields will be catalogued:
- Journal Publication

Please Note:
*Ordinarily, secondary school and similar outreach endeavors, adjudications, and clinics, as well as on-campus exhibitions, performances, and productions are considered primarily as public service events rather than scholarly achievements and generally will not be included in this publication.
*The Director of Research and Sponsored Programs reserves the right to exclude entries that do not appear to be of scholarly or professional nature and that do not appear to have been editorially reviewed. Do not submit testimonies before legislative bodies, someone else's work of which you are the subject, correspondence courses, course syllabi, or handouts.
General Instructions for Report Submissions
1. Enter information requested. Be sure to complete all required fields.
- Fully complete bibliographical fields.
- Enter names as you would like them to appear in the report.
- If the co-author is an alumnus or unaffiliated with Eastern Illinois University (e.g. other university, association, or organization), type their present affiliation (e.g. University of Minnesota ) or the word ALUMNUS in the Department field.
- The types of student mentorship will appear in the report under the department of the faculty member who served as the mentor.
- Complete all fields listed. If unavailable or inapplicable, type N/A in the proper field.
- Do NOT use abbreviations.
- Do NOT use italics. If normally underlined or italicized, offset text with single quotation marks. Type in regular quotations marks for appropriate articles.
2. Make sure entry is complete (e.g. co-authors have affiliations, page numbers are entered).
