Dr. Linda Reven, professor of education, currently serves as the coordinator for the graduate program in elementary education. The graduate program offers a Master of Science in Education in Elementary Education and graduate certificates in Reading Instruction and English as a Second Language Instruction.
Dr. Reven joined the graduate faculty in 1990 after receiving her doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Ohio University. During her tenure at EIU, she served as a member of the Council on Graduate Studies for five years and also chaired the Graduate Awards Committee (2000-2001).
Admission to the graduate program in elementary education requires an application to the Graduate School as well as an additional application to the Department of Early Childhood, Elementary and Middle Level Education.
